The Pirate Adventure is designed to be a fantastic weekend of adventure, play, and relaxation. While Sagacity leaves nothing to chance, and plans out all the details months in advance, life as a pirate is not all plundering, pillaging, and looting...

Life on the high seas, or on a small pirate island, does not come with all of the services and freedoms that we are used to in urban centers. As a pirate, you will be at the mercy of the sea, BC Ferries, and the local merchants. It is important that you fully understand what you are committing yourself to before you join the crew.

If you want to leave early
You will be at the mercy of BC Ferries; it's the only way off of the island and sailings are not very frequent.

If you want to stay somewhere away from the rest of the pirates
If you are driving your vehicle to Galiano, you can opt to sleep in your vehicle. Otherwise, you might be able to find accomodation in Sturdies Bay at the Galiano Inn, or at the Woodstone Country Inn on Georgian Bay Road. Shuttle service is not provided, reservations well in advance are recommended.

If you must be back home by...
You might want to take the ferry on the return trip. Although the sail home is scheduled to arrive at a given time, winds, currents, and a bit of last minute pirating make it impossible to guarantee the exact arrival time back at the Government Wharf.

If you want to use a cell phone at the cabin
Please bring one.You probably won't get a digital signal very often, and coverage is best described as spotty.

If you need to check your email
Internet access is not available.

If you are taking prescription drugs
Make sure you have a sufficient supply. Galiano does not have a pharmacy.
