The Great Pirate Adventure 2009

Here be the poop that ye'll be needin' to know if ye plan to be a Sagacity Pirate, September 24-27, 2009! Yarrrrr!

Cutlass Title imageLocation and Accommodation

The Pirates of Sagacity have commandeered the Bodega Resort, a comely venue on the west end of Galiano Island, one of the Southern Gulf Islands, situated a few nautical miles from Victoria and Vancouver (see the Pirate Map). Bodega has seven rustic cabins (palaces for Pirates!) that have three bedrooms each (Pirates are used to much more cramped berths).

Venue

Our lair has capacious grounds, and will berth Pirates in comfy tents and spacious chalets. Please follow the Laws of the Lair while you are with the crew.

The grand hall will be fitted out as a dungeon with all of Sagacity's famous play equipment, where miscreants will be punished for the entertainment of lounging pirates. There are washroom facilities available in the grand hall and in all the chalets.

Dates

Pirates will take a ferry from Swartz Bay or Tsawwassen on Thursday, September 24th and be met by the jollyboat on the Galiano side, and transported by the hearty crew to the Pirates' Lair. They will spend Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at the Lair, and will be returned by shuttle on Sunday, September 27th to catch the ferry back to their respective ferry terminal.

Transportation

Pirates will be responsible to render themselves to the Victoria or the Vancouver Gulf Islands ferry terminal in time to catch one of the ferries . They will purchase a foot passenger ferry ticket, and will walk on to the ferry with their gear (tents and gear will be carried by the frigate if dropped off beforehand). They will be transported to the Pirates' Lair by shuttle from the Sturdies Bay ferry terminal and will be returned to the ferry on Sunday. Pirates are responsible for their own parking arrangements at the terminal. Pirates with prior approval to bring their own jolly boats (vehicles) to Galiano are responsible for the cost of transporting their vehicle.

Tickets

Due to the overwhelming request for tickets to Sagacity’s trademark fantasy kink adventure, the following system has been put in place in an effort to ensure a fair distribution of billeting passes for all potential perverted pirates. Be advised...this event is expected to sell out as soon as tickets become available. If you are hoping to be on the Manifest, be prepared to plunk down yer doubloons and make yer mark when the Purser opens the logbook!

Chalet berths: Sold on a double-occupancy basis. This means that you must share your bed with at least 1 pirate. Some rooms in some chalets will accommodate 4 pirates (2 in an air bed on the floor). These pirates will get a small reduction in their rate:
    $265 per Pirate - Single room – 1 queen bed = 2 Pirates
    $240 per Pirate - Double room – 1 queen bed & 1 queen or 2 twin air mattresses = 4 Pirates
Tent berths:
$165 per Pirate - Tent occupancy is negotiable – 1-6 Pirates (tents are available for those without). Tenting pirates will have designated access to chalet washroom/shower facilities and fridge.
