Great Pirate Adventure Details
TicketsTickets will be available only through Sagacity, and must be reserved through the purser. She will part you from your gold, and provide you with the details of the trip. Please do not ask about other members of the crew, as secrecy is a requirement for signing on. DatesPirates will rendezvous at the Gabriola ferry in Nanaimo on Friday, August 12th at 12:55, 3:45, and 7:55, be met by the jollyboat on the Gabriola side, and transported by the hearty crew to the Pirates' Lair. They will spend Friday and Saturday nights at the Lair, and will be returned by shuttle on Sunday, August 14th to catch the 11:10 AM ferry back to Nanaimo Harbour. TransportationPirates will be responsible to render themselves to the Gabriola ferry dock in Nanaimo in time to catch one of the ferries mentioned above. They will be provided with a ferry ticket for a foot passenger and will not have to pay to travel to the island or back. They will be transported to the Pirates' Lair by shuttle and will be returned to the ferry on Sunday. Pirates are responsible for their own parking arrangements in Nanaimo. Look here for more details on transportation connections and parking. Pirates with prior approval to bring vehicles to Gabriola are responsible for the cost of transporting their vehicle. LocationThe Pirates of Sagacity have commandeered the Dragon's Keep, a small inn hard by Dragon Rock on the east end of Gabriola Island. Gabriola Island is one of the Southern Gulf Islands, situated a few nautical miles from the sleepy town of Nanaimo. (see the Pirate Map) VenueThe new lair has capacious grounds, and will hold 40 pirates in tents, 22 pirates in small sleeping cabins, and 20 pirates in the hotel itself. The interior accomodation is reserved for organizer pirates and those with physical difficulties. Please follow the Laws of the Lair while you are with the crew. The grand hall will be fitted out as a dungeon with all of Sagacity's famous play equipment, where miscreants will be punished for the entertainment of lounging pirates. Several showers and washrooms cater to needy pirates, and the well-outfitted galley will be a pleasure for the cook to work in. PriceCamping pirates will pay $85 per head, and will most likely share a tent with at least one other matey. The pirate purser is in need of tents, so please offer if you have one. Pirates in cabins will pay $100 per person, and must share with one other person. The cabins are small enough that it would be unlikely that you could get more than two pirates in a cabin without stacking them. Pirates in rooms will pay $150 per person and must share with one other person. Your Adventure Includes
