Duties and Benefits of Core
-
Attend a minimum of 9 Core meetings. They generally occur on the second Monday of the month with the exception of special events that sometimes require additional meetings. Every effort will be made to choose dates that will work best for the majority of our members and time limits will be enforced as much as possible.
-
Contribute a minimum of 30 hours (i.e., set-up, take-down, security, DM, refreshments, promotion, etc.) of work time over the course of the year (excluding Pirate Adventure, the Birthday Bash, and Core meetings).
-
Each Core member must be willing to take on the responsibility of one Sagacity functional area (i.e., webpage, library, equipment, tickets, DM, etc.).
-
Promote Sagacity wherever possible.
-
Maintain discretion regarding issues discussed at Core meetings. Any and all information discussed at a Core meeting stays within the Core unless there is a vote to the contrary.
-
Set behavioural examples at all Sagacity events.
-
Check in on the website at least once a week and make an attempt to contribute to the Forum or some other area of the site.
-
Make every effort to check your Core e-mail on a regular basis and respond when required. Many times things must be decided quickly and the Core mailing list is the only option.
-
Be available in the case of extraordinary requirements (i.e., be there if we need you in case of an emergency).
-
Sagacity will present a minimum of 5 “big” events in 2006. Core members will be required to participate in a minimum of 3. Participation in some form at the Birthday Bash is mandatory.
-
Active work participation if you attend the Pirate Adventure.
