August 2003, Lucky Bar Fetish Show

Monday Magazine web site

If the recent weather hasn't been enough to get you hot, maybe you need to check out the return of Seduction: A Fetish Show this Friday night at Lucky Bar. While it's been a little while now since Suzanne and company, er, mounted one of their productions, Seduction has been long known to fetish insiders as one of the finest recurring shows in town.

"This isn't just a fashion show", says event organizer Suzanne of Side Show, with just a hint of playful malice in her voice. "This is a real fetish show." Featuring surprise performances by five local members of the "empowered erotica" website SuicideGirls.com. which claims to mix the "smarts, enthusiasm and DIY attitude of the best music and alternative culture sites with an unapologetic, grassroots approach to sexuality" (and, of course, nude pics, too), plus a little bit of piercing show & tell by both Urge and Pair-O-Dice tattoo studios and a not-so-secret back room play party by local fetish enthusiasts Sagacity, Seduction will also feature a wide array of Suzanne's outstanding fashions. (Sadly, however, the gimp wrestling has been cancelled, due to a knee injury by one of the gimps.)

Doors are at 9 p.m. this Friday, August 15 and Suzanne would like to remind you that a "no jeans and T-shirts" dress code is in effect. "The more effort you put in to your outfit, the more fun you can expect to get back," she says. Tickets are $8 advance at Side Show (559 Johnson) or $10 at the door. For more info, call 920-7469 or 382-LUCK.
