Incorporation Information
In March 2005 the time was right for Sagacity to incorporate. Of 3 names submitted, Sagacity Alternative Lifestyle Society was approved. The constitution (Word Version) was prepared from a copy of Schedule B from the Society Act. and on May 4, 2005 the Society was incorporated under the Society Act of BC, number S-49091. Address of register on that date was #8-4260 Burbank Cr. Victoria V8Z 6T2. Original members applying were Cliff Quinn, Sam Quinn, Marlene Forbes, Harold Christian, Kevin Bruce.

Sagacity's structure was modeled after a number of organizations in BC, notably the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation, with a limited voting membership. The voting members are known as the Core, the management group of Sagacity. Others interested in supporting Sagacity can become Associates. Associateship provides mutual benefit to the organization and the people, but does not confer voting rights.
