Bondage Workshop

A review and opportunity for hands-on practice of basic bondage knots. Workshops are held occasionally before major events. Bring your own rope and bottom (some rope will be available).
Bring 100 feet of 1/4"-3/8" rope that will be divided into one 50' and several short pieces. Anything will do, but nylon braid works well for general purpose tying. Canadian tire sells a number of types of rope. The nylon Bridgeline rope works fine and is a good price. The 5/16 sells for $4.99 and would work fine for limb ties, but not for suspension. The 3/8 coloured utility rope is pretty, and quite good too, though much more harsh and stiff on skin and rather thick for limb ties. It's on sale for 7.99 for 75'.

Covered in this Workshop:

  • Introduction
  • Safety
  • Rope handling and characteristics
  • Basic knots: lark's head; square (reef) knot; half hitch; clove hitch; bight
  • Waist tie
  • Double limb tie
  • Single limb tie (Portugese bowline)
  • Chest/breast
